Bangladeshi nationals may apply to this Embassy for re-issue of their machine readable passport (MRP). A new passport book (MRP) containing 48 pages will be issued which shall remain valid for 5 (five) years. If someone does not want to change previous photo or any other information in his/her new passport then the following documents are required to renew (reissue) the passport:

1. Passport, in original;
2. Photocopy of the Current Passport;
3. Photocopy of NID/ Online Birth Registration Certificate;
4. Photocopy of Chinese Resident Visa;
5. Filled in MRP Reissue form after signing matched with passport;
6. PP-size Photo – 2 copies;
   
7. Students are required to submit an original studentship certificate in a letter head pad issued by their respective educational institution;

• After receiving your new passport from DIP, Dhaka the express takes some time during sending and receiving, if you need your new passport (ready to be delivered) urgently, please come to the Embassy physically those are holding old passport & money receipt. If you want to receive your new passport by post, please send your original old passport, money receipt & return address in Chinese Language with name and mobile number by SF Express/EMS.
• This is also informed that applicant’s expired MRP or to be expired MRP will remain with the Embassy until re-issuance of new MRP to the applicant. Those applicants who are interested in keeping their MRP with them, they must come in person to the Embassy to submit their application. Those applicants, who will come in person to the Embassy to submit their application, their MRP will be returned to them on the same day after some official formalities.
• You will receive the re-issued New MRP after at least 60 days (for Regular service) from the date we receive your fess cash in counter/collect from bank. It's depending on the arrival of the passport from DIP, Dhaka.
• You will receive the re-issued New MRP after at least 45 days (for Express service) from the date we receive your fess cash in counter/collect from bank. It's depending on the arrival of the passport from DIP, Dhaka.
• Because of after math of the COVID-19 pandemic, the time of the delivery may even be longer, since the new MRP will come to Beijing Embassy from DIP (Department of Immigration and Passport), Dhaka. We will update the list of passports ready to be delivered in the website as soon as we receive it from DIP, Dhaka.
• Currently, the MPR is valid for 5 years and it is not renewable like the hand-written passport. As such, MRP should be re-issued once the validity is about to expire.
• In case of applicant’s failure of submit proper supporting document will delay the processing time.
• Please note that the guidelines provided in this page are indicative. The Embassy reserves the right to request for any additional document at any stage for scrutiny by the Consular Officer before rendering any service.
