Overview

1. Generally, all foreign national need their valid passports to visit Bangladesh and citizens of most countries require valid visa to enter Bangladesh (except visa exemption/waiver agreement between two countries).

• N.B.
  1. Applicants are requested to submit their visa applications in advance of their departure date.
  2. Visa is valid from the date of issue and not from the date of travel.
  3. The Embassy of Bangladesh in Beijing preserves right to determine type, category of visa and duration of stay. Therefore, Acceptance of visa application does not automatically guarantee grant of a visa.
  4. Visa processing fees is non-refundable, even the visa application is refused.

Who Can Apply?

1. An expert/adviser/employee/individual who appointed in a government/ semi-government/ autonomous bodies/ projects and equivalent organization in Bangladesh.
2. An Individual who employed in local/foreign government/semi-government/liaison/industrial/commercial organization or other equivalent organizations in Bangladesh.
3. Individuals appointed under local/foreign government/ semi-government contractor ship and in equivalent organization in Bangladesh.
4. A work permit/employment visa may be issued for maximum three (03) months with single, double or multiple entries. Duration of stay in this category is maximum 90 days in each visit.
5. Extension up to three (03) years could be obtained from Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP)in Bangladesh.

Documents Required

Following documents must be submitted along with Visa application-

• Duly filled in online application form (www.visa.gov.bd) and signed by the applicant;
• Letter of Recommendation explaining condition of appointment from concerned Ministry / BIDA / BEPZA of Bangladesh;
• Appointment Letter from Bangladesh;
• Letter of dispatch from the company / organization in China (if applicable);
• Visa application form duly filled in and signed by the applicant;
• Visa fee;
• Passport size recent photographs with white background- two copies;
• Passport with minimum six months validity;
• Photocopy of Passport.

How To Apply

Step-1: Fill-in Online Visa Application

• Please fill-in Visa Application by clicking the https://visa.gov.bd/ While filling in the form, please select required visa from the category.
• Before submission, please carefully check the spelling and accuracy of the information you have provided. Bring a print out of the dully filled-in submitted Visa application (with barcode printed on 4th page).

Step-2: Submission of VISA related Documents

• VISA application(s) may be submitted at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Beijing in person or can be sent by post along with required documents and fees.

• No appointment is required for submission of the visa applications to the Embassy.
• A letter of authorization is required to be issued to one applicant who will submit the visa applications on behalf of the group of applicants.

Please carefully note the followings-

• Incomplete application or application with incorrect information or insufficient supporting documents will not be accepted. Applicant may be called for an interview, if necessary, by the visa issuing officer.
• The Embassy of Bangladesh in Beijing reserves the authority to accept/ reject VISA application and request for additional document(s) at any stage of the process.

Step-3: VISA processing time

Urgent delivery: 03 working days;

Regular delivery: 05 working days;

However, it may sometimes take longer than usual.

The fees can be paid through the following methods –

Application Submission Time

Document Submission: 9:00 - 12:00 hrs

Document Delivery: 16:30 - 17:00 hrs

Working day: Monday- Friday, Public Holidays Closed.

Visa Collection

To receive the passport by couriers (SF Express or China Post EMS), applicant is also required to send current address, name, mobile number in Chinese version while submitting the application.
